FAQs

What are our opening hours and phone number?

We are open 8.00 am to 6.00 pm Monday to Friday.
Please call 49262662 for an appointment.

Do I need a referral?

No, you do not need a referral to see a physiotherapist.

A referral is only required if you have a work related injury, third party injury - for example from a car accident - or are a Veteran's Affairs patient.

What should I bring for the initial assessment?

Please bring
  • any recent xrays or scans you may have related to your injury and
  • your referral should you have one.
If your injury is a Work-Cover claim please bring your claim number with you on your first consultation.

Suitable clothing that will allow us to examine your injury thoroughly.

What should I wear?

Comfortable loose clothing is an advantage. Wear or bring clothing to enable the physiotherapist to examine your particular injury. For example - shorts if you have a knee problem.

Your sport shoes will also be helpful if you have a foot problem or sport related injury of the lower limb.

What should I expect at the first Consultation?

Your first consultation will involve a thorough assessment as well as provide you with an accurate diagnosis of your injury.

You will also be treated in your first session - particularly for pain management.

Based on this initial assessment your Physiotherapist will outline an appropriate treatment plan.

This may involve "hands on" strategies (such as massage, mobilization or manipulation) and you may be prescribed some home exercises and/or stretches.

At all times we will involve you in  the process so that you understand the treatment plan and what needs to be done to give you the best possible result.

What should I wear to Pilates?

Comfortable clothes that are not restrictive.
Avoid clothing with protruding zippers and pockets as many moves are done lying prone so anything that sticks out from your clothing is likely to be uncomfortable.

What is your cancellation policy?

Please give us 24 hours notice should you wish to cancel your appointment.  This will enable us to contact other patients on our waiting list who may require that time.
